i see the things you cant see yet.
& won’t see till later.
realising what i knew then:
you won’t acknowledge it.

just to be visible, i thought
thought it was important.
but visible to whom?
to whom?
to be visible to whom?
to those that never saw you anyway?
and as they pass you by now,
not ever really seeing you … seeing me,
not noticing what was, who was,
cowering in the corner …
who never was really was,
that important to the whoms to begin with;
does it seem that it really matters?
it matters so much so,
that you would return to that corner
to cower?

they said it was ok.
with their mouths.
.
but their eyes.
said something different.
and their souls.
.
yes I can see them.
.
their souls said a completely different
thing.
.
watch my hands.
i’ll sell you something
you don’t need.

They say to see you must open your eyes.
what if you don’t see with your eyes?
can we still ‘see’?
